A Quick & Tasty Snack

Ingredients

  • 1 cup corn flour
  • 2 medium-sized boiled and mashed potatoes
  • 2 finely chopped green chilies adjust spice level
  • 1 teaspoon ajwain carom seeds
  • 1 teaspoon salt or to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped coriander leaves
  • 1/2 teaspoon chaat masala
  • Cooking oil for frying

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine corn flour and mashed boiled potatoes.
  • Add chopped green chilies, salt, ajwain, red chili powder, chopped coriander, and chaat masala.
  • Knead the mixture into a smooth dough. If it's too sticky, add more corn flour. If it's too dry, sprinkle a little water.
  • Step 2: Shape the Kachoris
  • Divide the dough into small, equal portions.
  • Roll each portion into a ball and flatten it slightly to form kachoris.
  • Step 3: Fry to Perfection
  • Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat.
  • Gently drop the kachoris into the hot oil, ensuring they don’t overcrowd the pan.
  • Fry them on medium heat, turning occasionally, until they are golden brown and crispy.
  • Remove the kachoris and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
