Red lentil dal curry

Ingredients
  

  • ½ cup red lentil/masoor dal
  • ½ onion chopped
  • 1 tomato chopped
  • 2 green chilli chopped
  • ½ inch ginger chopped
  • 2 clove garlic chopped
  • ½ teaspoon Coriander powder
  • ¼ teaspoon red chilli powder
  • ½ teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 tablespoon ghee or oil
  • ½ teaspoon mix spices /Garam masala
  • Tempering Tempering
  • 1 tbsp ghee or oil
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1/3 teaspoon red chilli powder
  • 1 pinch asafoetida/Hing
  • Salt

Instructions
 

  • Heat oil in the microwave-safe bowl on high for 16 seconds open add chopped onion, green chillies chopped ginger and garlic micro again 2 minutes. Now stir put turmeric coriander powder and chopped tomato cook 1 minutes. Add soaked dal with 2 cups water add salt cover and set the microwave on for 15 minutes keep stirring every 5 minutes.
