Broad Beans Pulav
Ingredients
- ½ cup Sprouted vaal/ Broad Beans / Fava Beans soaked and sprouted
- 1 small onion sliced
- ½ inch ginger chopped
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds jeera
- 1/3 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 2 clove
- ½ inch cinnamon
- 2 bay leaf
- 3 green chilli
- ½ teaspoon red chilli powder
- 2 tablespoon ghee or cooking oil
- 1 pinch hing/Asafoetida
- Salt to taste
- Chopped coriander for garnishing
Instructions
- Soak sprouted beans in boiling water for 15 minutes then drain from water. Heat ghee or oil in a heavy bottom pan. When ghee is hot add cumin/jeera and let them crackle. Now add sliced onion, green chilli, ginger and the clove cinnamon, bay leaf hing/Asafoetida and sauté until onion becomes golden brown. Add turmeric powder stir. Now add beans and sauté about 3-4 minute over medium heat then add rice and salt mix cover and cook on low heat for 5 minutes. Turn off heat and garnish with coriander leaf serve hot with plain curd.
